Acartürk graduated from Istanbul Atatürk Fen Lisesi. After studying three years in Medicine, she enrolled in Business Administration to achieve her bachelor degree from Hacettepe University. Before embarking her career in Executive Search in 1998, she worked in leading companies such as Global Menkul Değerler and Domi Information Technologies. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles International in 2005; she worked as a Research Manager in Egon Zehnder International and Senior Associate in K Partners International (affiliated office of Korn Ferry) for over 6 years. Acting as an active member of the Turkish teams, she participated in various practice group meetings and worked in close cooperation with International Practice Group Teams.

Throughout her search career, Acartürk has managed numerous national and international projects across a variety of sectors with focus on Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Services including Media, FMCG and Industry, to help establish the presence of key international clients in the Turkish market as well as the CIS and EMEA regions. She also led various assessment processes. Until August 2007, she was an active member of the Heidrick & Struggles Istanbul Office, as a senior consultant in charge of delivering senior level recruitment solutions for major industries with skilful evaluation & assessment techniques. In summer 2007, having gained experience in world's premier provider of senior-level executive search and leadership consulting firms, Acartürk decided to establish her own practice and founded Ta-Ra Partners .

With over 15 years in the industry, Rana has built an extensive network of contacts within the sector and known for a strong and for long tenured placed candidates and for successfully completed assignments.

Additionally, Rana is a Certified Coach (Erickson College) and has taken TA 101 & TA 102 certificates from Transactional Analysis Association.
